Organising a retreat near Lyon
Within two hours of Lyon you have plenty of choice: the Drôme and its hilltop villages, the northern Ardèche, the Beaujolais, the Bugey, the Jura or the foothills of the Vercors. You go from vineyards to upland country in no time.
The venues are often renovated farmhouses or village houses with a large practice room. They work well for yoga, walking or meditation retreats. Participants coming from further away can take the TGV to Valence or Bourg-en-Bresse.
For a retreat in July, head a little higher: the nights stay cool at altitude.
