Where to run a retreat near Paris
For a weekend retreat with a group from Paris, the easiest option is to stay within two hours by road or rail. Participants set off on Friday evening or Saturday morning and get home on Sunday without being worn out.
Within that radius there are farmhouses and manors in the Eure and the Perche, hunting lodges in Sologne, long farmhouses in the Yonne and properties on the edge of the Oise forests. You can reach many of them by train from Saint-Lazare, Montparnasse or Austerlitz, then by shuttle from the station.
Check the time of the last Sunday train and the real journey time from the station. For a group without cars, those two things matter most.
