Terms and conditions of sale of the RetreatCenterGuide.com website, in force as of 21 October 2026.
1. Who we are
The website RetreatCenterGuide.com (hereinafter “the Site”) is published by Luka Ballarin, sole trader (EI) trading as Novalis, registered with the Nîmes Trade and Companies Register (RCS), SIRET 799 196 134 00040, EU VAT number FR32799196134, 2 chemin de Massacan, 30320 Marguerittes, France. Contact: bonjour@retreatcenterguide.com.
2. Who these terms apply to
These terms apply to professionals who publish a listing on the Site: venues that host groups (gîtes, centres, halls, estates) and service providers (cooks, practitioners, facilitators, photographers, etc.), hereinafter "the Professional". As they concern a professional activity, the rules specific to consumer sales, including the right of withdrawal, do not apply.
The Professional accepts them by ticking the box provided when placing the order. The applicable version is the one published on the Site on the day of the order.
3. What the Site offers
The Site presents venues and service providers to people who organise workshops, retreats and seminars, in France and abroad. It puts these organisers in touch with the Professional: they write to or phone the Professional directly.
The Site takes no commission on bookings. It is not a party to the contract between the Professional and the organiser: prices, availability, terms of stay, deposits and cancellations are settled directly between them.
4. Account and listing
To publish, the Professional creates an account with a valid email address and keeps their login details confidential. They are responsible for everything done from their account.
They undertake to publish accurate information and keep it up to date: address, capacity, rooms, meal options, indicative prices, photos, contact details. The prices shown are “from” prices, provided by the Professional. They are not a binding commitment towards the Site, but they must be genuine.
The Professional guarantees that they hold the rights to the texts and photos they publish, and authorises the Site to display, crop and adapt them (formats, compression) as needed for the listing.
Translation: to present listings to visitors from abroad, the Site publishes an automatically translated English version. The Professional can report a translation error and the Site will correct it.
5. Plans and prices
The content and price of the plans currently available are shown when the listing is being published. Prices are in euros and include all taxes.
Payment is made online by bank card through Stripe. The Site does not keep any card data. Invoices can be found in the Professional's account area, under "My account".
The listing is published as soon as payment is confirmed. If the Site checks it before publication, it appears once that check has been carried out.
6. Term, renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (month or year), at the current price. The Professional is notified by email of any price change at least 30 days before it takes effect.
The Professional can cancel at any time from their account area (under "Subscriptions"). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for. No refund is given for a period that has already started.
If a payment fails, the Site notifies the Professional and gives them time to update their card. If the payment is not settled, the listing is removed from the Site and the subscription is suspended.
7. Enquiries received
Messages that organisers send through the listing form are forwarded to the Professional by email. The Professional can view them for 12 months in their account area (under "My requests"). The Site does not guarantee any volume of requests or bookings.
8. Moderation
The Site may refuse, modify or remove a listing that is unlawful, misleading, unrelated to hosting workshops and groups, or the subject of repeated, well-founded reports. In the event of a serious breach, the account may be suspended without refund, after a message stating the reason.
9. Liability
The Site takes reasonable steps to remain accessible but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation (maintenance, outages, force majeure). Its liability, for all causes combined, is limited to the amount paid by the Professional over the previous 12 months.
The Site is not responsible for exchanges, bookings or disputes between the Professional and organisers.
10. Personal data
The Professional's data is used to manage their account, listing, payments and requests. Details (retention periods, rights of access, rectification and deletion) are set out in the privacy policy. To exercise these rights, the Professional should write to bonjour@retreatcenterguide.com.
11. Communication
By creating a professional account on the Site, as a host venue or as a retreat organiser, the user receives the Site’s newsletter and messages related to their account (enquiries, listing, payments). They can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, in one click from the link in each newsletter or from “My account”, under Account details. Messages related to the account continue to reach them for as long as the account exists.
12. Changes to these terms
The Site may amend these terms. It will notify the Professional by email at least 30 days before any significant change comes into effect. If the Professional does not accept the change, they may cancel before that date.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a disagreement, the parties will first seek an amicable solution (bonjour@retreatcenterguide.com). Failing that, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts of Nîmes.
Language
This site is available in French and English. If the English version differs from the French text, the French version prevails.
