Meals are key to the success of your stay. At Domaine du Fan you'll be delighted by the creativity and quality of the food on offer:
Since the start of 2018, we have been offering a new taste experience! We have made our dishes as healthy and flavourful as possible through herbs, spices, cooking methods and carefully chosen ingredients. We have also cut right back on oils, fats and sodium. Healthy, tasty food is what we do best:
- Fully vegan, balanced, home-cooked food
- Fresh produce, 90% organic and local
- No refined sugar or processed fats
- Mainly unprocessed plant-based food (whole foods)
We offer:
- Raw vegetable salads and sprouted seeds, always fresh and always served with foods packed with antioxidants and omega-3, such as pumpkin seeds, ground flaxseed, nutritional yeast, turmeric/cumin and so on.
- We take particular care to reduce, or even cut out, the oil in our dressings and other dishes, always in keeping with the “whole foods” approach.
Our salad dressings, for example, are made not with oils (= processed foods) but with tofu, sesame seeds or nuts as a base. This way, the saturated fat in the dressing, together with its fibre, is less harmful and also makes for better digestion and absorption. We often add puréed vegetables and herbs to our sauces.
- Gluten-free options (fully gluten-free menus available on request)
We have, however, chosen to keep our cheese board.
We’re very often asked for our recipes and cookery classes, and we’re happy to email them to our visitors. The dishes and weekend classes are now available here: https: //domainedufan.com/cuisine/cours/
