Bambu Parque is a 115-hectare estate in the Alentejo region dedicated to bamboo cultivation, with over 250 different varieties. Biodiversity is fully preserved, both in terms of animals (otters, mongooses, etc.) and plants (eucalyptus, multi-century-old holm oaks and Mediterranean flora bordering the nearby ocean).

After 2 or 3 days in this particularly energetic place, you'll feel the beneficial effects of bamboo, as explained in the recent scientific study: Benefits of a Three-Day Bamboo Forest Therapy Session on the Physiological Responses of University Students - PMC.

This study finally confirms what the historical Buddha Shakyamuni said 25 centuries ago: " Staying in a bamboo forest will help you find peace and serenity as well as balance in your body and mind".

Our facilities can accommodate individuals in single or double rooms with private or shared bathrooms.

A special area is dedicated to groups of up to 16 people, with 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, a kitchen, two 50 m2 lounges, two skylights for group exercises and a yoga/meditation pavilion. We also have 6 height-adjustable massage tables.
