La Danse des Papillons

About the venue

Welcome to La Danse des Papillons, an eco-site in the land of lavender, olive trees, oaks and lime trees, in the Drôme Provençale.

A haven of peace, this 4-hectare private estate lets you get some fresh air all year round…

Recharge, step away for a retreat, take stock, enjoy a massage…

La Danse des Papillons has:

• a seminar room (a 35 m² yurt insulated with sheep’s wool and cork) heated by a wood-burning stove.
• a self-catering kitchen/dining room (or, on request, 1/2 board or full board).
• from September to the end of April, 5 bedrooms and a Kerterre (an unusual dwelling for 1 or 2 people), giving 16 beds in all,
• From May to the end of September there's also glamping, with 5 cotton canvas tents fitted with beds, duvets and a little furniture, plus a summer kitchen by the pool over the same period, giving 25 to 30 extra beds.

Come and savour the harmony of this place: listen to the song of the river, revive yourself in its natural jacuzzis, gaze at the starry skies, discover the wild flora, get close to the centuries-old oaks, dance with the butterflies…

The pool is open from May to the end of September.

*Glamping is “glamorous” camping: the large cream cotton canvas tents are fitted with cosy beds, duvets and a few pieces of furniture. Comfort and nature, all in one.

With woodland, meadow, a river and a pool, the estate’s 4 hectares invite you to slow down, rest and get back in shape. It is a welcome break at a time when stress and constant busyness are all too often part of daily life.

Here, rock and plant life are intertwined. Legend has it that long ago a meteorite fell on the Montagne de la Lance, which rises above the house, and that huge boulders came to rest as far down as the river. The centuries-old oaks and the harmony of the place suggest that the Celts once practised their magic here. You can still feel it in the different atmospheres around the site, in every flower that grows, every day of the year.

Mindful of this balance, we chose to treat the house's wastewater with a reed-bed system and to fit the glamping site with composting toilets. We want to look after Mother Nature as much as we look after you.

We don't accept pets.
