Let's organize your retreat at Château de Monthelon, an atypical location in southern Yonne (Burgundy)

Located in Montréal (89), on an exceptional six-hectare site overlooking the Serein valley in the rural area of Terre Plaine, combining a 17th-century building with an immense sky, the Château de Monthelon is an "international workshop for artistic production" in the form of an association under the law of 1901. Every year, we welcome 150 artists from all disciplines, with a focus on circus arts. Monthelon is also a place to live: three families and four circus artists live on the site.

Outside our residency periods, we offer our venue for yoga and wellness retreats, as well as dance and theater workshops. The quality of our welcome is central to the Monthelon project, and the château buildings were completely renovated in 2024. So we can welcome you in the best possible conditions, warm in winter and cool in summer.

The chateau has several adapted practice areas (yoga room with stove and large windows, large hall) and living areas (lounge, professionally-equipped collective kitchen). Outside, you can take advantage of our six hectares of grounds, stroll through the undergrowth, swim in the pool, and admire the splendid sunsets over the Serein valley every evening! Several hiking trails are accessible around the château, as is the medieval village of Montréal.

If you'd like to offer your participants delicious vegetarian cuisine during the course, it's possible to arrange this on your behalf with Molly, a resident of the château and renowned cook.

• 7 double bedrooms, 4 with en-suite shower rooms
• 1 apartment with 3 double beds and kitchenette
• 1 studio with 1 double bed and kitchenette
• depending on the season, possibility of 4 additional caravan units
