Domaine Shanaya in the Gers Visibility

About the venue

Located in Solomiac, between Toulouse and Montauban, Domaine SHANAYA is tucked away in 5 hectares of parkland. Historians tell us that in 1157, Cistercian monks from GIMONT farmed the estate. From that time, an old track known as “le chemin de crête” (the ridge path) survives, along with a few buildings: a barn and a sheepfold. Much later, on 1^st August 2021, we were chosen to become the guardians of this beautiful place. We are proud of it and will enjoy showing it to you, a place in harmony with all the living beings here and, first and foremost, with yourself.

All the renovations were carried out with respect for the place and its energy. The estate has a gîte, a swimming pool, an outdoor sauna with a wood-burning stove, an area of unusual accommodation, a vegetable garden and an orchard where wildlife and plants live side by side in harmony.

The gîte is a fully renovated former Cistercian barn that sleeps up to 8 people. There are 3 bedrooms (2 single beds, 90x190) and 1 cosy separate bedroom (1 double bed, 140x190), each with its own shower room and toilet, plus a kitchen opening onto a large dining room, a sitting area and a private terrace.

You will also find 4 leisure pods called "Pigne de Pin" (11m2), named after their pine-cone shape. Set right in the middle of nature, they are the perfect way to get as close to it as possible. Fully insulated and heated, each has two single beds (90x190). A shower and toilet block is located close by.

The third place to stay is a bohemian caravan (sleeps 2, 140x190 double bed in an alcove), with the horse as its emblem.

A large 37 m² bedroom with its own entrance and shower room/toilet is set aside for the facilitator.

We provide a room (100m2) in the old cowshed, where we have kept the original feeding troughs. It holds between 30 and 40 people and is equipped with yoga mats, bolsters, meditation chairs, mattresses, cushions, a massage table and more. Some practices can take place outdoors under the lean-to (60m2) near the swimming pool.

Catherine can also cook generous, tasty vegetarian meals for you, made mostly with vegetables from the kitchen garden and fruit from the orchard or local producers.

There is a car park with 15 spaces at the entrance to the estate.

Several options are available: self-catering, half board or full board. Please contact us on 0626731806 or on Instagram @domaine_shanaya for availability and rates.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Gers!
