The Centre Coeur is a training center located in Normandy, in the former convent of a small town easily accessible from Paris (by road, TER). It is dedicated to inner work, to the flowering of consciousness and to expression in all its forms, with privileged spaces designed to be showcases for practice.

The Centre Coeur can accommodate up to 30 people for workshops in personal development, spirituality, art, creative retreats or artist residencies, alone or in small groups.

A training site with several rooms and green areas

First, there's a large 160m2 practice room with parquet flooring (according to carrez law, 190m2 on the ground), perched on the top floor of the building, bathed in light from its south-facing aspect and with a beautiful view over the convent garden, the peaceful neighboring residences, and above all, the countryside, forest and lake.

The room is equipped with carpets, cushions, zafus, a sound system and a video projector.

The site's private chapel is the perfect setting for work in sound expression , singing, drama and music, as well as meditation and prayer. Its stained-glass windows, vaulted ceiling 8m above the ground, quietude and acoustics offer a space to explore, bringing a special dimension, depth and solemnity to every moment spent within its walls. Here, you can feel and hear the value of the present moment.

Finally, there's theartist's studio. This is the convent's washhouse, with the washhouse still inside. This is a raw, untouched space, located in the inner courtyard of the washhouse, overlooking La Chapelle, in a quiet, unobtrusive setting. In this space, we turn our attention to what we're going to do, concentrating hard to bring to life, with our hands, all the plastic arts possible. The space can accommodate around 10 people.

The kitchen is self-catering or full-board. Depending on your dietary requirements, we can put you in touch with a suitable chef from our address book to come and cook for you at the Centre Coeur. Today, the Centre Coeur is ready to open its doors.

The history of this unique training facility in Normandy

Le Centre Coeur is the project that has been at the heart of our lives for the past 2 years. Ever since I came across it in the "for sale" category on the leboncoin website, Nicolas Mauran and I, both therapists and partners in life and work, have devoted most of our time and energy to this place. A 5-minute walk from our home, this former convent had been sold by the nuns themselves, due to the reduction in the number of its inhabitants.

We already had plans to acquire a site and create a spiritual and artistic center, but we could never have imagined that we would find it just a 5-minute walk from our home, in our small town. After more than 1 year's work to bring this acquisition to fruition, and after going through so many emotions that each time made us a little more committed to this place and the project we had in mind for it, we managed to get the keys for good.

Since our encounter with this place, we've had the pleasure of visiting it almost every week, and now every day. We've listened to it tell its story through the cracks in the walls, the birdsong in the garden, the sound of silence in the chapel, the special light in the washhouse. All this time spent taming this place enabled us to approach its renovation with respect for its history, while also respecting the comfort of the trainees.
