Nestled on 20 private acres of rolling countryside, we invite you to unwind, reconnect, and restore balance to host your upcoming retreats. Our elegant 18th-century château offers the perfect setting for transformative yoga and wellness programs in one of France’s most peaceful and picturesque regions. At Château de Lassalle, time slows down and nature sings. Surrounded by sweeping views, woodlands, and open skies, you’ll experience deep relaxation and renewal. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or just beginning your journey, our retreats are thoughtfully designed to nourish body, mind, and spirit.
Set on 20 acres of peaceful countryside in Laplume, we offer retreat leaders an exceptional venue to host transformative experiences. With breathtaking views of rolling hills, expansive indoor and outdoor practice spaces, and 15 comfortable ensuite bedrooms, our château is an idyllic setting for yoga, wellness, and creative retreats of all kinds.
This expansive home can sleep between 16-30 guests across up to fifteen en suite bedrooms. There will be plenty of space for everyone in this U-shaped home, the east wing in particular has a fantastic 62m2 grand salon where everyone can spend evenings together before retreating to their own bedrooms. The home also has a number of smaller living spaces for when you wish for a little privacy and you will even discover a fantastic air-conditioned games room on the first floor.
The château sits in 8 hectares of private grounds filled with ancient trees, lawns, and native plants that blend seamlessly with the surrounding countryside. Whether you wish to sit in the sun and enjoy a good book or dine al fresco, you are sure to want to spend lots of time outdoors in the beautiful gardens. If you are feeling a little more active, you can swim in the inviting pool or try your hand at boules and croquet!
Although the home is a rural idyll, you will not be isolated as there are two lovely villages close by. Moirax is less than 6km away and is dominated by the 11th-century Cluniac Priory, which is an incredible protected monument. There are also a number of shops and eateries in the village, including Auberge Le Prieuré, a Michelin-starred restaurant in a historic building.
Another nearby village to discover is Laplume, which is just 5.5km away and has a few shops and hosts regular farmers' markets. You can also enjoy great views from the village or join a number of hiking and cycling routes from here, including a botanical walk.
If you would like a wider selection of shops and restaurants, then you are perfectly placed to visit the city of Agen, which is just 15km away. Agen has had a long and interesting history, having been settled 11 times since 200 BC by different groups before being returned to French control. Much of the city is easy to explore on foot, so you can wander through the cobbled back streets and spot half-timbered houses before popping into some of the local artisan shops. The Musée des Beaux-Arts, a fine art museum, and the enchanting Saint-Caprais cathedral are some of the must-see sights.
Experience of a well being retreat organiser, Gabrielle Ortega
We hosted a retreat here and this property is absolutely incredible. The pictures don’t do it justice— it will make your jaw drop the first time you enter through the gates and walk around this incredible chateau and its grounds. The owners, Sassan and Christina were truly incredible at helping us connect with amazing local chefs, helping us plan excursions and providing us with a spectacular yoga studio and crafting space for our retreat guests. The rooms are beautiful and everything in the chateau has been lovingly renovated so it’s very comfortable and modern, while also retaining its original charm. The pool is FABULOUS— you’re going to want to spend every day there! We were very impressed by how clean it was, considering the gigantic space and the fact that it’s in the countryside. Everything about our stay was perfect, and we will be hosting more retreats at the chateau in the future. I HIGHLY recommend staying here or hosting your own retreat— it was the ideal space for it and you’ll have memories that will last a lifetime! (Visited in May 2025)
Accès au lieu
The Château and its outbuildings are nestled on eight private hectares in the Gascony hills, just 10 minutes from Boé and 15 minutes from Agen. Located nearly equidistant from Bordeaux (90 miles) and Toulouse (70 miles), Agen can be reached by motorway and TGV trains, including a direct train from Paris that takes just over 3 hours. The small airport in Agen is now closed to commercial flights, so Toulouse Blagnac is the closest airport with further options in Bordeaux, and Bergerac in the summer months.
The A62 connects Toulouse to Bordeaux. From exit 7 (Sortie 7) on A62, follow the direction towards Moirax – turning right on the first and second roundabout – and following the road on N21 (be advised there is a speed camera just around the first bend). Shortly after turning on N21, you will turn right on D268 towards Moirax, where you will also see a sign for the Château. Continue to Moirax and then drive another 5 minutes past Moirax, staying on the D268. Just after you enter the small hamlet of Brimont, there is a sign for the Château on the right. You can access the property through a black and gold gate, which should be open when you arrive.
